Thomas: “To me to live is Christ and to die is gain!”

Rodger Schwartz: “Quoting the Apostle Paul.” Are you sure of that?”

Thomas: “My choice will be death, if in fact you have such power.”
(Thomas notices that Rodger is reaching for a red phone.)

Thomas: "Calling those who torture will not work on me, haven’t
you heard?  I would sooner die than talk when I don’t want to!”

Rodger Schwartz: (Took a minute on the phone and could be heard
saying) "I have Mr. Thomas Hankins here. I think we will have to
initiate the “daunting”. “It did no good huh?  We will have to do
better than that. Ok, I will let you know.  Send me that other fool!”

Rodger Schwartz: “Ok, Mr. Hankins, I’ll bite but if you screw around
with me, you won’t have to worry about torture.

THE PASSING OF TIME

In the prophet Daniel, chapters 2 and seven, it was predicted that there
would be only 4 kingdoms that would stand up in the general territory that
Babylon controlled. ThoseKingdom would be 1. Babylon 2. Medo-Persia
 3. Greece and a 4th strange Kingdom that Was not given a name,
but there was much detail in these Chapters and others.

In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the descendants
of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans.

Enter the Prophet Daniel.

Daniel: “I understand this now through the writings of Jeremiah.
There are to be 70 years in the desolation of Jerusalem.”

If 70 years is indeed all that is meant, Daniel know this would
in the lifetime of one man all this could be complete.

IN SACKCLOTH AND ASHES DANIEL PRAYED

Daniel: “O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and
mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly,
and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from your
judgments: Neither have we hearkened unto your servants the prophets,
which spake in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and
to all the people of the land. O Lord, righteousness belongs unto thee, but
unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the
inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far
off, through all the countries whither you have driven them, because of their
trespass that they have trespassed against you. O Lord, to us belongs confusion
of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have
sinned against you.”
