SUKKOT:
THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES
Many of you know that the 7 feasts of YHVH God were
according to the Apostle Paul part of the shadow pictures of future event that
were acted out by the Jews and Israelites. The world was and is like a Giant
stage and all who keep the feasts (rehearsals) are like actors acting as
witnesses to what is to come in world history.
A quick summary for those not familiar would be in order now. The spring feasts
(rehearsals) 1. Passover; where the lamb, Yeshua (Jesus) was sacrificed on the
exact day and date, the 14th of Aviv as predicted. 2. Unleavened
Bread, which removal represents getting rid of sin. 3. Wave sheaf offering,
which equals the resurrection. 4. Shavuot, which is Pentecost, the giving of the
Spirit. All were fulfilled by Christ at his first coming. But understand; it
represents the process that all MUST go through who are ever to be saved.
The fall feasts (rehearsals) are yet to be literally fulfilled by the Messiah,
at his second coming. It is what is presented by the Book of revelations. This
year we have been through Trumpets, which is all about the events surrounding
his second coming, tribulation, heavenly signs, the day of the Lord and the 1st
general resurrection, seen in the Book of Revelation. Then we have celebrated
Atonement (at-one-ment) which have to do with Christians become one in spirit
with God as immortal beings and the nations of the world being rules by Christ.
Then comes Tabernacles, which begins this evening, Sundown. 7 days and then the
8th Day, represent the LAST great day and second general resurrection
and last chance for all the other dead people who lived since Adam.
The Feast rehearsal of SUKKOT (tabernacles) the dwelling in temporary dwellings
of booths of shanties, is more involved than many think. Not only did ancient
Israel keep the Feast rehearsals, but like a lot of things they practiced, they
did not know the whole story. They were witnesses of things coming without fully
understanding them. God knew would be a stumbling block to people who thought
they knew it all. Sukkot (tabernacles) is really ALL ABOUT the temporary
dwelling of human being in the flesh. That is why the Apostle Paul spoke about
his own life as while he is in this tabernacle.
