Hammond: “You doctor said nothing to me. I know about
that like I know about you and Barbara Beard.”

Subordinate: “Who are you? What are you?” If you know
all these things, then why have you not told us exactly where
that Thomas feller is?”

Hammond: “I believe that sometimes the Devil helps an
evil person that works on his behalf and during that time,
I am not able to see certain things. He can run but he
can’t hide.”

At that very point in time, Thomas walks upon them. They
turn around very quickly being quite startled. The subordinate
rattled by the revelations of Hammond, pulled the trigger on his
M16 and it did not fire.

He then looked down and saw that the safety was not on. It was
not even on semi-auto. It was on full automatic. Yet it did not fire.

Thomas: “Hammond, I presume?”

Hammond: (Trying to appear not to be taken aback) “Mr. Thomas.
What a trouble maker you are.”

Thomas: “I have not made trouble for anyone. It is you and your
superiors that disturb the peace of all men.”

Subordinate: “Well I see your psychic powers are real.
Mr. Thomas, if it wasn’t for Colonel Hammond putting a
hold on my actions, you would be a dead man. I suggest
that you corporate.”

Hammond: “Who else is up there in the mountains, with you?”

Thomas: “No one. There isn’t enough water to support even
10 people up there.”

Hammond: “You look healthy. How did you survive?”

Hammond: “Come on, let’s take him in. He is worth thousands
of others. We can learn everything that is needed from this man.
He must know all about the militias and their positions. However,
if that is true, why would he be so easily taken? Check him for
weapons or a bomb. I hear some of these people are willing to
give their lives for their cause."

Thomas: “None of the militias in the United States, Australia,
and New Zealand, certain European areas or Canada are in
league with the Church that is called in the wilderness. We
know that we will not be delivered by the hands of man.”

Subordinate: “You better be careful Mr., Colonel Hammond
has powers and none of your Devil stuff will work against us.
He is a psychic and the power of God works in him. He told
me all about it.” So, don’t try anything, if you want to live.”

Thomas: ”So, will you put your m16 on safety, this time?”

The subordinate, whose name is Ralph, felt a little strange upon
hearing Thomas speak about the position of the selector on his
rifle. He looked down and put it in safety mode.
