David: "Gina I've been a fool. There is nothing in the
universe that should have caused me to waste the
last two and a half years of my life. I'm sorry for
everything".

Gina waited a few seconds to see what else David
might say. David tried to pause to see how she was
reacting to his confession.

Gina: "That's all"? Is that all? Your sorry"?

Tom was anxious for his parents to get along. Thomas
notices Tom's concerned expression. He also notices
how others in the compound are interested as if they
were watching a soap opera.

Thomas: "Gina uh, David here's the key to my study
behind the kitchen. It is relatively sound proof so you
both can talk privately. Make sure you have something
to eat, we have plenty stored".

David: "But you all are in danger and I have a lot
to tell you".

Thomas: "Well it will be daylight shortly. Looks like
you will have at least a day to talk. Take my daughter".
Thomas said putting both their hands in his like he did
on their wedding night. "And you two come to a single
 understanding".

In fact in two and a half years they had imagined each
other saying all the things two people could possibly
say. They said nothing as they walked. They didn't
even look at each other. David held Gina's right hand
with his left as he opened the secret study. He is the
only other man that even knows how to get into it.

As the vault like door began to open their pulses raced
so fast and intensely that they could feel their pulse
pound against each other. Their had that was now clamped
together. They stepped inside, now with the vault door
scarcely closing they could hold what they were thinking
in no longer. "I miss you so much," they both said at
the same time in unison. They grabbed each other and
and just held on for a long minute without saying a
word.

Finally David spoke.

David: "I've played the fool and it's brought me only
misery. I've tried to forget, oh how I've tried. But I knew
I was wrong and not been able to escape my thoughts. All
this time I have been only 21 miles away, not 200. I have
tried to move away, but I could not. Please forgive me".

Gina: Done, I feel like I have waited a million years to
hear you say that. But what you are doing risking your
own well being. it is enough".

David: "Just like that"?

Gina: "Just like that".

David began to cry on her shoulder, Gina cried on his.
This result is one they had both hoped for, for a
long time.
